notice

i never notice how the sun reflects off of your hair
or how everytime you laugh the day becomes brighter
or after you leave the room how the sun goes out and rain falls
no i never notice it at all not even how when i call you on the telephone
you pick it up and are still talking to someone who's in the room with you
and you forget to be polite and you say "uh huh?" instead of "hello"
i never notice how your smile makes my heart beat fast
and how it never fails to make me smile too
i never notice the goosebumps that i get everytime you touch my skin
and i never notice that when you say my name i get thrilled
maybe i should pay more attention, because i never notice how jealous you get when i talk to a girl and i say something that makes her laugh or when you kiss me and i stop breathing
once you woke up and found me gone and i didn't notice that you began to cry
maybe there's something wrong with me
because i never notice that im so in love with you
no i don't instead i forget to call and when i finally remember your out of the house
instead i take your hand and try not to notice that i feel happier than i ever have before
